It is time to write again! Unbelievable— time is flying by. My last published blog entry is from 28 March 2013— almost a year ago. I can’t believe it!

Any peaks in traffic like last year? Maybe the one in January when I published the post “Why use Sensu?“.

Apart from that, traffic was more or less constant.
The Missed Goals
I also set some goals at the beginning of last year regarding this blog:
- Finish “The Book of Sensu”
- Contribute to Sensu
- Write lots of useful blog posts
The sad conclusion: I totally failed at all of them.
Up For Something New
What did I do instead?
I actually found my old love again: music. In February I bought a MIDI piano to teach myself how to play, so I could accompany my daughter when she sings.
At first I used the Mac to generate sound, but then I switched to the iPad. I was amazed by how many high-quality apps are available to learn and produce music on the iPad.
The techie in me took over and got curious about MIDI on OS X and iOS. The result? A small application for Mac, iPad, iPhone and iPod touch called “MIDI Aid”.
To Be Continued
So, what’s next? Actually, “MIDI Aid” could use a few more features, and since there aren’t many resources about programming with CoreMIDI, this blog could be enriched with a few posts on that topic.
Unless… some other interesting technology crosses my path and distracts me from my original “path”.
Done for today!
